KNOW WHO YOU ARE BOOKING

Trust & safety

How DetailLink approaches honest profiles, reviews, private information and safer marketplace use.

Important to know

DetailLink is an early-stage marketplace. A profile or listing is not a guarantee of skill, licensing, insurance, personal identity, work quality or safety.

Business profiles and verification

New detailing businesses begin in pending review and cannot view new customer leads or submit quotes until an administrator approves their profile. Administrators can later restrict or suspend a business. Approval is a platform access decision, not a certification of work quality or safety.

A separate Verified badge is an administrative indicator, not the same as approval. Businesses provide their own service descriptions, coverage areas, pricing indications and photos. Neither approval nor a badge is a comprehensive independent background, identity, licensing or insurance check.

Customers should confirm material qualifications, business identity, insurance, service terms and work expectations directly when those details matter.

Reviews tied to bookings

The marketplace permits one review from the customer associated with a completed booking. This limits casual anonymous ratings but does not establish that every detail of a review is independently verified.

Sample portraits and ratings shown in marketing sections are explicitly illustrative. They are not actual endorsements.

Keep sensitive information private

  • Share only the vehicle photos and service information needed for a quote; avoid including people, licence documents or sensitive items.
  • Detailers see a broad service district, not a customer street address entered during the quote process. Do not put an address, email or phone number into free-text notes.
  • Uploaded JPG, PNG and WebP files have camera metadata removed on the server, including EXIF location data where present. Visible details such as licence plates and house numbers may still be seen in the picture; crop those out before uploading.
  • Use the request-specific message thread for questions about the accepted job.
  • Be cautious about requests to pay unfamiliar accounts, send identity documents or move communication to suspicious links.

If something goes wrong

Document the agreed scope and any concerns. Contact the independent detailer first for service or payment issues. DetailLink can moderate accounts and listings; its private report form is enabled only when an administrator confirms they are monitoring new cases.

For urgent safety concerns or suspected crimes, contact local authorities rather than waiting for a marketplace response.
