BOOKING GUIDANCE
Cancellations & changes
Understand how to withdraw a request, cancel a booking or change an agreed detailing appointment.
Before accepting a quote
Submitting a quote request does not book a service. You may leave offers unaccepted, or withdraw an open request through your request page. An unaccepted offer is not a commitment to purchase.
After accepting an offer
Accepting an offer creates a pending booking. A proposed appointment is not confirmed until the customer approves the time. Customers can cancel a pending booking from the request page.
If the timing, price or scope needs to change, discuss it with the detailer. A booked detailer can propose a new written price and scope, but it does not become the agreed version until the customer explicitly approves it.
Cancelling a confirmed appointment
The customer can cancel a confirmed booking in DetailLink. A cancellation may affect the detailer’s schedule, so give as much notice as possible and communicate directly through the request conversation.
A cancellation in the marketplace does not automatically refund a deposit, waive provider-specific fees or undo an agreement made directly with the provider.
Deposits and provider-specific terms
DetailLink does not take payment or deposits. Any cancellation charge, rescheduling rule or deposit-refund term belongs to the customer’s direct arrangement with the independent detailing business, subject to applicable law.
Ask the detailer to explain these terms before paying. Preserve written messages and receipts if a disagreement arises.
