WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

Disputes & complaints

Practical steps for resolving a problem with a detailing quote, appointment or completed job.

Important to know

DetailLink currently has no staffed dispute-resolution service or payment escrow. This page is guidance, not a promise of mediation or reimbursement.

1. Keep a clear record

  • Save the accepted quote, its inclusions and exclusions, and any written changes.
  • Keep appointment messages, receipts and relevant before-and-after photographs.
  • Identify the exact issue and the outcome you are seeking.

2. Speak with the independent business

Contact the detailer through the request conversation or another agreed business channel. Explain the concern calmly and give the business an opportunity to respond.

Payment, deposit, refund and workmanship disputes generally arise under the agreement between the customer and the independent provider, not a transaction processed by DetailLink.

3. Report a marketplace safety concern

DetailLink may investigate misleading profiles or misuse of its platform and can restrict accounts. Check Report a problem to see whether the monitored private intake is currently active. Booking participants can report directly from their booking page.

Do not assume a private message to a detailer also reaches Chromegreen Media Limited.

4. Seek outside assistance when appropriate

For suspected fraud, threats or criminal activity, contact the appropriate authorities. For unresolved consumer issues, Alberta provides consumer-protection information and complaint resources.

Nothing on this page removes rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
